Obituary for Dorothy Lucille Tuck
Dorothy Tuck, 83, of Springfield, MO., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April
12, 2018. Dorothy was born on November 20, 1934. She graduated from
Republic High School in 1950 and earned 2 degrees from Missouri State
University. Dorothy taught 4 th grade for 25 years at Wilder and Wanda Gray
schools in Springfield, retiring in 1991. Dorothy married Clayton Tuck in 1954 and
celebrated 52 years of marriage. She was a member of Sunset Church of Christ.
She volunteered at the Community Blood Bank, Springfield Public Schools
Libraries, and was active in a number of church activities. Dorothy enjoyed
sewing, gardening, doll collecting, collecting antiques, cooking for family
occasions and spending loving time with her grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Tuck, father and mother,
Arthur and Mary Larson, stepmother, Frances Larson and sister Ruth Talent. She
is survived by her children, Andy (Janis) Tuck, Nancy (Denny) McLaughlin, and
John (Denise) Tuck, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brother, Walter
(Dr. Wanda) Larson and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation for Dorothy will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Sunday, April 15, 2018 at
Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Services will be on Monday, April 16, 2018 at
1:00 pm with burial to follow in Clear Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,
donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
