Obituary for Ben Hagan

Ben Hagan passed away April 6, 2018, surrounded by family. He was born May 20, 1936 in Howell County, near West Plains. Ben married Norma Jean (Nicks) February 2, 1956, and spent the next 62 years loving her. He was drafted to the Army and after serving his country, Ben came home with his wife and eventually retired as Postmaster from Mountain Grove, Missouri. Ben is preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Hagan (Cole), his brother Joe Hagan, and his sister, Martha Brown. Ben is survived by his wife, Norma; one son, Don Hagan and wife Leilani; two granddaughters, Ashley Mayes and husband Luke, and Brittany Leggett and husband Mark; one step-grandson, Truman Bailey and wife Erin; two great-grandsons, Greyson Mayes and Oliver Bailey; and many close friends and family. Services will be Monday, April 9, at the Veterans Cemetery at 2:00pm, with visitation prior from 12:00-1:00 at Greenlawn South. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fair Haven Children’s Home.
