Obituary for Bernita Pauline Nutt

Bernita Pauline (Parke) Nutt, 93, of Springfield, MO passed away on April 6, 2018. She was born March 2, 1925, in Weaubleau, MO, to Warder and Lucile (Wilson) Parke. She graduated from Weaubleau High School in 1943, and then graduated from Southwest Baptist College, Bolivar, MO. She taught two consecutive years in the Weaubleau School System. On February 2, 1946, Bernita married Sherman Nutt. To this union, two children were born, Melinda-Springfield, MO and Mark-Springfield, MO. Mark and his wife, Vera have one child, Abbie. Bernita was a member of Weaubleau Baptist Church for nine years. After moving to Springfield, she and her husband joined the First Baptist Church where they were active members for 63 years. She is preceded in death by her husband-Sherman Nutt, her brother-Wilson Parke and her sister-Wilma Stafford. She is survived by her daughter-Melinda, her son-Mark, her granddaughter-Abbie and many other relatives. Bernita will be deeply missed. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with burial to follow in Hazelwood Cemetery.
