Orville Dale Green, age 66, of Springfield passed away Thursday, March 29th, 2018 at his home
Dale was born October 19, 1951 in Shenandoah, IA to Orville Leslie and Alyce M. Green. He was a graduate of Willard High School, and served as a medic in The United States Army. He was united in marriage to Bobbie Glenn in Springfield, MO. Dale worked for Hutchens Industries, retiring as plant manager after 27 years. Dale enjoyed hunting, deer, rabbits and squirrels, he and his best friend Charlie Miller had not missed a deer season for 37 years. Dales passion for fishing with his wife and grandsons led him to become a fishing guide at Stockton Lake. He enjoyed sitting and playing music with his son Robert.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Bobbie M. Green: one son Robert Green and wife Amy of Fair Grove; one daughter, Angie Pratt and husband Keith , Ash Grove, MO; 10 grandchildren, Tyler and wife Amanda, Jacob, Colton, Cyle, Tristan, Keith, Kyle, Savanna, Laney, and Delaina; one great-granddaughter, Rayna; mother, Alyce Green-Rogers and husband James, Springfield; one sister, Ellen Cotter and husband Don, Bois D' Arc; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Orville Green; one sister, Joann Green; Father and Mother in law; Everett and Mary Glenn.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Monday at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. A celebration of Dale's life will be held Tuesday, April 3rd, 2018 at 11:00 am in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with private family interment at a later date.
