Ellen "Sue"  Van Hooser (Miller)
Ellen "Sue" Van Hooser 77, Springfield, MO. passed away March 27, 2018, after a short illness. She was born on January 12, 1941, in Aldrich, MO. to Conn and Marie (Spidel) Miller. She was a long-time area resident, and member of College Street Baptist Church. She had worked for many years as a Baker, and was a care giver for her family.
Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence E. "Jim" Van Hooser, a daughter, Candy Sue Glore, and three brothers: Charles Pendergraph, James Earls and Jack Miller. Survivors include: two Daughters: Sandy McCafferty and her husband Randy, and Patty Hayes and her husband Brent, two sons: Jim Van Hooser and Adam Van Hooser and his wife Sheena, eight grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren , and one-great-great grandchild, three sisters: Janice Garton and her husband John, Shirley Ann Ahart and her husband Dewayne, and Betty Steele, and a sister: Pat Tillman.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2018, in Evergreen Cemetery, Republic, Mo.. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
