Obituary for Dorothy L. Ankrom

Dorothy L.  Ankrom
Dorothy (Glass) Ankrom was born September 12, 1923 in Dallas County, the daughter of the late William Thomas and Martha Alice (Lemons) Glass.
On February 4, 1946 she was united in marriage with Leroy "Buddy" Ankrom and two sons were born of this union. They made their home east of Buffalo, MO.
She was a homemaker and loved to make quilts, cross stitch, embroider and bake. She also enjoyed talking and writing about her childhood memories from the late 1920's and 1930's, to the raising of her son's starting in the late 1940's. She had also taken the time to document them for others to read. One of her quotes were; "We worked hard, didn't have much, but always has a good time".
She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers: Joe, Ray, Orville, Clyde, Claude, Homer and Tom, 3 sisters: Grace Pruitt, Beulah Gann and Minnie Gann, one son: Jerry Ankrom, one daughter-in-law: Jean Ankrom (Bill's wife).
Survivors include: one son: Billie Ankrom, Buffalo, MO, one daughter-in-law: Linda Ankrom (Jerry's wife), 2 granddaughters: Catina Ankrom and Amy Ankrom, one great-grandson Garret Haefele all of Springfield, MO.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 23rd at 2:00 pm at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo, MO. Burial is under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, MO.
