Obituary for Mary Evelyn Schmidt (Moore)
With deep sorrow we share with you the passing of Mary E. Schmidt, at the age of 92. Mary passed away at her home on March 14, 2018. She was born April 27, 1925 to Elba and Stella Moore of Nixa. She was a devoted wife to Rolland Schmidt for more than 66 years, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her son Ron Schmidt and wife Alicia Schmidt, granddaughter Michelle Schmidt, great granddaughter Zoe Harrison and several extended family members.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Elba and Stella Moore, husband Rolland, brothers Robert, Guy and Jack Moore, sisters Opal Hunt and Mildred Gibson and granddaughter Holly.
Her life will be celebrated by her family and friends at a service to be held on March 30, 2018 at Greenlawn South Funeral Home in Springfield. Visitation will be from 10 am until 11 am followed immediately by her memorial service.
She was a long-member of the Sunset Church of Christ in Springfield until moving to Arizona to live with her son and his family.
Burial will be at 2 pm at St. Peter’s Evangelical Cemetery in Billings, Mo.
Should family and friends desire remembrance, donations may be made to the Fair Haven Children’s Home, 3132 N. Fair Haven Loop, Strafford, Missouri 65757.
