Obituary for Lillian Juanita Branstine (Harp)

Lillian Juanita Branstine, age 92, passed away on January 29, 2018. She was born on August 29, 1925 in Niotaze, Kansas (that’s near Caney, KS). Juanita graduated high school in Filer, Idaho then she attended college at N.W. Nazarene University and Oregon State University earning her Bachelor Degree. She was a Home Economics Teacher in Fair Grove and Crane Missouri. Juanita married Donald G. Branstine on June 12, 1949 in Fair Grove, MO. They owned their own Construction business and worked together for many years, him as a contractor and her keeping books and painting and staining the new houses they built. She was member of the Nazarene Church and did lots of volunteer work with the church. She loved sewing, flower gardening, crafts and helping anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Harp and Margaret (Barry) Harp, sister, Twyla Antrim Wood, husband, Donald G. Branstine and son Bruce K. Branstine. Juanita is survived by her daughter, Dawn Woods and her husband Robert Woods, daughter-in-law, Debbie Branstine, grandchildren and their spouses, Mindy Caldwell and Brett Caldwell, Blake Branstine and Erica Branstine and 4 great-grandchildren.
