Obituary for Robert L. Carroll

Robert L.  Carroll
So first of all…..Bob would like you to know “I’m Fine!”

Robert “Bob” L. Carroll, age 74 of Springfield MO, peacefully passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at Glendale Gardens Nursing Home after a long battle with kidney failure.

Robert was born June 27, 1943 in Springfield MO to Eldridge and Addie Carroll. He graduated from Parkview High School in 1961 where he met his wife, Ruth Lee Carroll. They were united in marriage on July 13, 1964 and were happily married for 50 years.

Robert proudly served his country for 15 years in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard of Missouri. He was a car salesmen in the Springfield and surrounding area for 35 plus years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 639, serving as the Post Chaplin for many years.

Robert was proceeded in death by his wife, Ruth Carroll and his parents, Eldridge and Addie Carroll. Bob is survived by his sister, Dixie Honeycutt and brother-in-law, Allen. Three children, daughter Renee (Scott) Adams, daughter Rachelle (Richard) Marlin and son Ross (Beth) Carroll. Seven grandchildren, Jordan Adams, Jarrod (Niomi) Adams, Lindsey (Daniel) Nilsen, Nicholas Marlin, Kendra Kelley, Jayce Carroll and Owen Carroll. Nephew, Scott (Megan) Honeycutt and Niece Tammy (Aaron) Cole.

Services for Robert will be at 1:00pm Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Green Lawn Funeral Home East with interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Visitation will be from 11:30am to 1:00pm Tuesday prior to the service.
