Obituary for Leonel Dorian Gomez
Leonel Dorian Gomez Munoz, 63, Springfield, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018, after a brief illness. He was born August 24, 1954, in Guadalajara, Mexico, He attended Schweitzer United Methodist Church. Leonel enjoyed science, history and watching news stations. He also enjoyed drives into the country, being a city person, he marveled at all the cows and horses in the area.
Leonel is survived by his wife Susan Davidson Gomez, his mother: Juana, his brothers and sisters: Luis Ruben Gomez, Leticia Gomez- Munoz, Lorenzo Gomez-Munoz, Patricia Gomez-Munoz, Lorena Gomez-Munoz, Leonardo Gomez-Munoz, along with several Newberry cousins and three cousins on the Davidson side of the family.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow, in Eastlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from Noon to 1:00 p.m. before services.
