Glenna was born to Glen M. and Lena Francis Miller in Breckenridge, Illinois, on April 3, 1931. She was the youngest of six children. On August 5, 1949, she married Tom Bozarth and together they began a life of ministry, including pastoral ministry and US and world missions with the Assemblies of God. Glenna was a licensed minister of the Illinois District.

In 1979, she and her husband, Tom, were appointed as missionaries to fill special assignments across the Asia Pacific region, mostly in the South Pacific. These assignments lasted from a few months to two years at a time. They were once described as “missionaries without a country, but not without a mission.”
In addition to daily journal writing, Glenna recorded their missionary journeys though beautifully detailed sketches. They retired in 1994 due to a tropical disease Glenna contracted that is prevalent in the Pacific islands. Glenna remained active in her missionary calling through correspondence and daily intercession.
