Linda Kathryn  Walters
Linda Kathryn Walters, age 69 of Dunnegan, MO, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Mercy Hospital Springfield, MO. She was born July 13, 1948, in Glendale, CA, to John Jerome and Opal Mae (McIntosh) Mitchell. She was united in marriage to Robert Walters April 22, 1967. She received both her bachelors and Master’s Degrees from Southwest Baptist University. She is a member of the Second Baptist Church in Springfield, MO, where she volunteered with media services.
She is preceded in death by her father; and a brother Albert Mitchell.
Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years Robert Walters of the home; her mother Opal Mae Reimers of Bakersfield, CA; one son Rob Walters and Crystal Walters of Springfield, MO; two daughters: Sharon Walters of Dunnegan, MO, and Susan Fox and husband Michael of Dunnegan, MO; six grandchildren: Ashley Fox, Anthony Fox, Austin Fox, Nevaeh Walters, Madison Walters, Morgan Walters; two sisters: Bertha Boullion of Bakersfield, CA, and Joyce Davis of Union City, CA; a sister in-law Darlene Marasse of Dunnegan, MO; as well as other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Pitts Chapel, with Pastor Daniel Stroud officiating. Burial will follow at Dunnegan Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.
