Bessie Joyce (Walls) Williams

Joyce Williams, age 87 of Bolivar, MO, was born November 20, 1930, the oldest child of Johnny Raymond Walls and Phyllis Bessie (Johnson) Walls, in Deer Creek, Oklahoma, Grant County. She lived in Deer Creek until she was 8 years old, and then moved to Brownfield, TX, for a year then to Denver City, TX, where she graduated High School. She moved around a bit in her twenties and then came to Missouri in 1963, and has been a Polk County resident until she went home to be with the Lord, January 4, 2018.
She was saved at an early age. She held many jobs in the Polk County area, as well as had her own businesses. She was of the Assembly of God Faith.
Joyce is survived by her three children; Hollis Hall and wife Suzan of Springfield, MO, Beverly Matthews of Bolivar, MO, and Danny Hall and wife Trish of Bolivar, MO; her siblings: Jim and wife Claudine Walls of Carlsbad, NM, Smythe Walls of Siloam Springs, AR, Doyle Walls and wife Sue of Siloam Springs, AR, Delma “Jody” Sconce and husband Elbert of Wishart, MO; 12 grandchildren: Stacey Sikes and wife Connie of Bolivar, MO, Johnny Hall and wife Becky of Bolivar, MO, Jason Sikes and wife Robyn of Humansville, MO, Melissa Dawson of Vermont, Melinda Hackleman and husband Brian of Collins, MO, Landon Hall and wife Jessica of Willard, MO, Tim Harris of Clinton, MO, Brandon Harris of Harrison, AR, Valerie Falcon of Buffalo, MO, Jessica Evans and husband Brian of Missouri, Robert Matthews of Washington DC, Ashley Salinas Garcia and husband Adrian of Midland, TX, Trey Salinas and wife Alicia of Carlsbad, NM, and Kimberly Cloyd of Springfield, MO; 31 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and loved ones. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; one sister Rose Russell; one grandson Andrew Raymond Hall; a daughter in-law Joan Samek Hall; a son in-law Wayne Henry Matthews; and a sister in-law Barbara Walls.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Pitts Chapel with Pastor’s Doyle Walls, and Lyle Shaulis officiating. Burial will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery Bolivar, MO. Pallbearers will be Johnny Hall, Landon Hall, Kyle Sawyer, Stacey Sikes, Brian Hackleman, David Sconce, and Jason Sikes. Visitation will be held Monday, January 8, 2018, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com.
