Christina E. Osborn, age 89, of Springfield, MO, passed away on December 13, 2017 in her home. She was born on July 28, 1928 in Herndon, Kansas. She attended St. Mary’s School, and was a devoted housewife. She was united in marriage on April 30, 1958 to James E. Osborn in California.
She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springfield, MO. Her hobbies included decorating, crafts, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Osborn; a son, James Osborn, Jr.; her parents Joseph and Catherine Zwickl; 2 brothers: Raymond and Joseph Zwickl; 5 sisters: Emma Riley, Phyllis Sell, Mary Bogema, Frances Ogle, and Genny Bishop. She is survived by 3 daughters: Cathy (Andy) Hamilton; Patty (Kenneth) Martinez; a daughter, Cheryl (Darwin) Householder; 2 sons, Tom (Vicki) Osborn and Tim Osborn; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother to 6 children, 3 daughters, and 3 sons.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 6 PM to 7:30 PM and a Rosary service from 7:30 PM to 8 PM in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. The Funeral Service Mass will be Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at 9:30 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with burial to follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
