Joey Lockwood was born on December 23, 1967 in Riverside, California. He walked into Heaven Sunday, December 10, 2017. His last day on earth was spent attending church, spending time with his family, and enjoying the afternoon with his son, Josiah.

Joey attended Cold Springs Christian School in Warsaw, MO then later moved to Wayne, OK where he graduated from Wayne High School. After graduation Joey’s family moved to California where he began his career in fire protection following in his great grandfather, grandfather, and his father’s footsteps. He loved going to the lake, riding motorcycles, road and mountain bikes, and shopping for a great deal. He loved watching his kids in their sporting activities, especially going to Charger football games to watch his son play and daughter cheer. Joey would say "Sorry Chief fans, Chiefs drool, Raiders rule!” He was an active member of Christian Ministries Church where he and Michelle served faithfully as Children’s Church directors. Joey was a faithful servant in everything he did. Serving his friends, family and complete strangers with the love of Christ. He was always present for those he loved.
