Obituary for Charlotte Ruth Goble (Schumitsch)

Charlotte Ruth Goble (Schumitsch)
Charlotte was born to Paul and Ruth Schumitsch on September 26, 1926. She grew up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and had one younger sister, Janet. She grew up around many relatives, including her cousins, Jack, Lois and Joanne. Charlotte left home and went to Central Bible Institute in Springfield, Missouri. She then began working at the Assemblies of God International Headquarters as their first Missionettes Coordinator. She loved what she did at her job and the people she worked with. She also loved where she lived, which was within a block of Rev. John Ohlin and his wife (her cousin) Joanne. It was only after she met Charles Goble that she found something more important than working with the Missionettes program and living in Springfield, Missouri. Charlotte and Charles were eventually married at Central Assembly of God in Springfield, Missouri, on June 13, 1981, and Charlotte moved to Wichita, Kansas, to be with Charles. She continued working at various jobs for many years but always loved her time with Missionettes the most. Charlotte convinced her only nephew, Brad, to move to Wichita with his wife, Joni, in 1988. Over the years Brad and Joni had three children that Charlotte and Charles thought of and treated as their own grandchildren. Charlotte remained very active throughout her life, and she and Charles were never apart. Charlotte and Charles moved back to Springfield, Missouri, in the summer of 2017. Charlotte passed away on November 28, 2017, at 91 years old. She is survived by her husband, Charles, her sister’s children, Charlotte, Linda, Kathy and Brad, as well as their respective families. She is also survived by Joanne and John Ohlin and their family, Lois and Fred Cool and their family, and the family of Jack Montag. Visitation will be Saturday, December 9, 2017, from 10-11 a.m., at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., also at Greenlawn North.
