Obituary for Thomas Lee Suter

Thomas “Tommy” Lee Suter – born May 4, 1965 in Los Angeles, California passed away on November 27, 2017 in Halltown, Missouri. He went home peacefully after bravely battling pancreatic cancer.
He is survived by his father, Gary Suter of Niangua, Missouri; his mother, Katy Sherrer of Halltown, Missouri; a brother Ron Suter and wife Mimi of Englewood, Florida; a sister Lynette Myers and husband Joe of Fair Grove, Missouri; a daughter Racheal Suter of Elkland, Missouri, and son Shane Adams of Eaglerock, Missouri, along with seven grandchildren, as well as multitude of extended family and friends.
While born in California, Tommy returned to the Missouri Ozarks as a toddler and called it home all of his life. He was a long time resident of the Fair Play and Stockton, Missouri area and worked as a mechanic at Nelsons Auto Service in Fair Play until his illness made it unable for him to do so.
In the 1980’s Tommy proudly served his country by service in the United States Army.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing shuffleboard and watching Kansas Chiefs football. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Tommy’s family wishes to thank the wonderful people of the Fair Play area for the love and support shown to him especially during these last few difficult months.
Visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri on December 1, 2017 at 6:00 pm with a memorial service immediately following to begin at 7:00 pm. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tommy’s name to the American Cancer Society.
