Obituary for David H. Moody

David H.  Moody
David H. Moody, 83, Springfield, MO. went to be with his Lord and Saviour, Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 in his home. after a short illness. He was born on July 29, 1934, in Morganton, N. C. He was a 18 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean, Vietnam, and Desert Storm wars. David and Mary accepted Christ as their Saviour in a Mission Church in the Philippines, September 7, 1958. David was a Missionary over the last 50 years, with the Baptist Bible Fellowship International, serving in the Philippines, England, Hawaii, and New Zealand. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Republic, MO.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Lecell Moody and Etta Elizabeth Braswell, and eleven siblings. He is survived by his wife of 64 1/2 years, Mary Louise Moody, a daughter, Linda Beth Moody-Ivey, five sons: David Moody Jr. and his wife Sarah Cherrie, James Mark Moody and his wife Melinda, Timothy Paul Moody, Stephen Ray Moody and his wife Amy, and Jonathan Moody and his wife Niki, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, a sister and her husband, Pauline and Grady Sigmon, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 2, 2017, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. No public visitation or viewing is planned. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the B.B.F.I. @ P.O. Box 191, Springfield, MO. 65801
