Obituary for Frank Landon Claspill

Frank Landon  Claspill
Frank Landon Claspill, age 81, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away November 23, 2017 at home, following a courageous battle with Colon Cancer. He was born July 14, 1936 in Dallas County, Missouri, to Charlie and Gertie (Laudermilk) Claspill. Frank graduated from Buffalo high school in 1955, and went in the Army, serving from 1955-1961. After leaving the Army, Frank drove trucks for Campbell 66 for 17 years and retired from Yellow Freight in 1995. In December 1955 he was united in marriage to Reba (Holland) Claspill. Frank was a member of the Broadway Bible Church, Retired Teamsters Club and the Springfield Water Garden Society, and enjoyed volunteering at Web.com Tournaments. He was an avid hunter, golfer, fisherman, and gardener.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie Claspill and Gertie (Laudermilk) Claspill, sister Jean (Claspill) Taylor, brother Paul Claspill, an infant son Frank Clay Claspill and a son-in-law Darell Sharp. Frank is survived by his wife Reba Claspill, two daughters: Patricia (Claspill) Sharp of Buffalo, Missouri, and Cathy (Claspill) Smith and her husband Scott G. of Knoxville, Arkansas, three granddaughters: Becky (Sharp) Walker, Holly Sharp and Caitlyn Smith, one grandson Christopher Smith, three nieces: Glenda (Taylor) Maxwell, Linda (Taylor) Sullivan and Brenda (Taylor) Kelb and a nephew Glen Albert Taylor Jr.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Visitation will be Monday, November 27, 2017 from 5:00 ~ 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Buffalo, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the Charity of the donor’s choice.
