Funeral Services for George E. Roberts, age 86 of Branson, MO will be held at 9:30 AM, Monday, November 27, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Branson with Pastor Johnny Walters officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will follow at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery in Pomona, MO at 1:30 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home of Branson.

He died on Monday, November 20, 2017 at Point Lookout Nursing Home in Hollister, MO.

He was born on May 1, 1931 in Hartshorn, MO., the son of James F. Roberts and Ruth Murphin Roberts. He was a retired manager with Meeks Lumber and a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Korean War. He was a member of Branson United Methodist Church and had been a resident of the area for the past 38 years.

He is survived by his three sons; Gerald Roberts and wife Enette of New Palestine, IN., Kent Roberts and wife Carol of Hollister, MO., Don Roberts and wife Kem of Blue Springs, MO., six siblings; Jim Roberts of Springfield, MO., Bob Roberts of Springfield, MO., Juanita Crawford of West Plains, MO., Donna Zweiner of Huntsville, AL., Brenda Collins of West Plains, MO., Linda Gould of West Plains, MO., six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Verna Wofford Roberts, two brothers, William C. Roberts, Dean Roberts, a daughter-in-law, Geneva Roberts, two nephews, Jimmy Roberts, Christopher Collins and two brothers-in-law, Lyle Wofford and Wallace Randall and a sister-in-law, Gloria Roberts.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Branson.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Lewy Body Dementia Organization or the Pink Door Hospital Auxiliary at Cox Branson.
