Obituary for Bonnie L. Sagerser

Bonnie Lee (Thomas) Sagerser, 79, beloved wife, mother, grandmother (Meem), sister, and friend, passed away and went to be with her Heavenly Father on November 19, 2017 in Springfield, Mo. following five years of Alzheimer's.

Bonnie was born March 23, 1938 in Springfield, MO to Roy and Jewel Thomas. There were ten children in the family. She met Roy Sagerser on a blind date in 1965 and married him thirty days later. Roy was an officer in the US Army, where they spent 22 years traveling the world together. Roy and Bonnie shared many adventures together, from Okinawa, to Paris, to Oklahoma. She was a devoted officer’s wife and home maker. They had a daughter, Susan, who had three children, Cameron, Lucas, and Seth.

After Roy’s retirement from the Army in 1987, they returned home to Springfield, where they continued their love of antiques and ran Country Living Antiques. Bonnie and Roy were each other’s best friend. They had an amazing life together traveling, sharing, raising a daughter, and devoting their lives to the Lord. They were forever at each other’s side.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Roy of Springfield, MO; daughter, Susan of Wenatchee, WA, grandchildren, Cameron, Lucas, and Seth; Sisters Sarah Tyler and Dixie Thomas, of Springfield and Peggy Dickerson of Brandon, FL.

Services will be held at Greenlawn South Funeral Home Springfield, Mo. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 11:45 AM Thursday, November 30, 2017. Funeral Services 11:45 a.m. with burial at Veteran Memorial Cemetery Lake Springfield.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to your local Alzheimer's Association.
