Obituary for Leon ""Snooks"" Scott

Leon ""Snooks""  Scott
Funeral services for Leon “Snooks” Scott age 61 of Hollister, Missouri will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Cedar Valley Church in Hollister with Rev. Danny Call and Ron Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Valley Cemetery under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.

He passed away on November 19, 2017 at his home.

Leon was born on November 8, 1956 in Harrison, Arkansas the son of Charley and Gertrude White Scott. He was a longtime resident of the area and was a truck driver and had been employed at College of The Ozarks where he worked at the Edwards Mills and also in construction. He had also been a school bus driver. He was a member of the Calvary Temple Full Gospel Church and was a 1974 graduate of the Hollister High School. He loved hunting, fishing and playing music. He was united in marriage to Cheryl Scott on January 8, 1994 in Hollister, Missouri.

Survivors are his wife; Cheryl of the home. His father, Charley Scott of Hollister. Seven children; Jason Scott (Kerry) of Hollister, Jeanette Miller of Indiana, Brian Moore (Susan) of Omaha, Arkansas, Brandy Edwards (Lamont) of Huntsville, Arkansas, Leigh Ann Claborn (Dennis) of Hollister, Missouri, Jackie Hall (Kim) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Shawn Hall of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Three sisters; Leona Scott of Ridgedale, Missouri, Leola Carroll and Letta Carroll (Eddie) both of Hollister, Missouri, 18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Leon was preceded in death by his mother, Gertrude Scott, two brothers, Leo Scott and Lonnie Scott and sisters, Letta Eubanks and Loretta Scott.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.
