Obituary for Hellen Betty June Butts (Warrick)

Betty (Warrick) Butts was born Aug. 30, 1931 to Jesse and Nettie (Byerley) Warrick, the 9th of 10 children. She departed this life on Nov. 17, 2017, at home surrounded by her sister, Joy (Warrick) Draper and family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jerry M. Butts. To this union 3 children were born; Jerry Dean Butts and his wife Robin, Janet Kay Allen, and Jeffery Charles Butts and his wife, Susan. They have 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She retired from Cox South Hospital where she worked for many years as a Housekeeping Supervisor. She is also survived by her sister, Joy (Warrick) Draper and was loved by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, as well as many friends. She gave her life to the Lord as a young adult, and was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Springfield. Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, 10:00-11:00am, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral service will begin at 11:00am, also at Greenlawn North.
