Obituary for Jane Eleanore Caughlan
Jane Bareford Caughlan died peacefully on November 17, 2017. Jane was born on May 31, 1951 in Springfield, MO to her parents George and Eleanor Bareford. Jane graduated from Missouri State University. Jane married Ronald Caughlan in 1971. They were married 46 years. Jane and Ron spent their lives and raised their family in Springfield, MO and St. Charles, MO.
Jane and Ron moved to Table Rock Lake when Ron retired in 2006. Jane enjoyed playing and watching golf and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Jane also enjoyed sewing, cooking and playing cards. Jane retired from Burlington Northern Railroad. She was especially proud of her two daughters, Sarah and Betsy, and enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren.
Jane is survived by her husband, Ronald Caughlan, two daughters; Sarah Cleaveland and Betsy Caughlan, 4 grandchildren; Emma Jane and Jack Cleaveland, and Joey and Katelin Robbers, all from St Charles, MO; brother Gary Bareford and his wife Shirley, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Eleanor Bareford, and brothers George and John Bareford.
Funeral services for Jane will be at 1:00 pm Monday at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole, Springfield, MO 65809, with burial following in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Foundation Fighting Blindness, P.O. BOX 17279, Baltimore, MD 21297-0495. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jane’s life.
