Obituary for Rosa Pauline Decker

Rosa Pauline (Tate) Decker, 93, passed away Sunday morning at Sonshine Manor Nursing Home in Republic, MO. Pauline was born June 9, 1924. She was one of eleven children born to Walter and Rosie (Bolton) Tate. She grew up around Kings Prairie and attended a one room school house before moving to Monett. Pauline is proceeded in death by her parents, five brothers, five sisters and three husbands. She is survived by her three children; Linda (Hallam) and Louis, Larry Jackson, Diane Lacey and Greg, five grandchildren; Rhonda (Hallam) Wheeler and Rodger, Ryan Hallam and Gina, Jason Lacey, Kerri (Lacey) Russell, Luke Jackson and eleven great-grandchildren. Pauline worked many years as a cashier in the dietary department at St. John’s hospital.
Pauline accepted Jesus as her Savior in 1961 at the Rock Chapel Baptist Church in Hobbs, New Mexico. She is a member of North Nixa Baptist Church. She helped cook the Wednesday night dinners for many years and everyone there loved “Granny”.
Pauline’s family and friends will miss her greatly but take great comfort in knowing that we will be reunited with her in heaven.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening at Greenlawn Funeral Home South on Battlefield, from 6:30-8 pm, with the funeral at 1:00 pm at North Nixa Baptist Church in Nixa, MO. Burial will follow at Kings Prairie Cemetery outside of Monett, MO.
Pauline’s family would like to thank the staff at the Sonshine Manor Nursing Home for being so kind and loving to Pauline and for the good care she received.
