Virginia Marie (Maples ) Geisert, age 80, Willard passed away Thursday, November 2nd, 2017 at Willard Care Center .

Virginia was born December 16, 1936 in Springfield, MO to Virgil and Anna Maples. She was a graduate of Springfield Senior High and Mercy School of Nursing, where she received her L.P.N. degree. She was united in marriage to Donald Lee Geisert on June 20, 1955 in Springfield, MO. Virginia worked as a nurse for St. John's Hospital, Mercy Hospice, and as a private duty nurse. She was known for her beautiful yard. Virginia will always be remembered for her great sense of humor. The greatest love of her life was spending time with her family especially her granddaughter Kelsey.

Survivors include two children,William Geisert, Chicago, IL and Kelly Wilken and husband Michael, St. Charles, MO; three grandchildren, Kelsey Lee Rogers, St. Charles, MO, Katy Liebman and husband Michael, St. Charles, MO, and Kristina Gray, Wentzville, MO; two great-grandchildren, Haley Liebman and Brady Gieger; one brother, Don Maples, Chillicothe, MO; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Donald Lee Geisert, her parents Virgil and Anna Maples, two brothers; and one sister.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Monday, November 6, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday November 7, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made in Virginia's name to Oxford Hospice. Funeral services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
