Avy
Wanda “Avy” Cox, 88 Springfield, MO passed away on October 19, 2017.
She was born September 19, 1929 in Olean, Missouri. She attended Central High School in Kansas City, MO. She married Perry Donald (Don) Cox in Kansas City, Missouri.
Avy was preceded in death by her parents, Gertha Lee (Brockman) Leuthen and Idle Leuthen, her husband, Don Cox and her sisters: Pauline, Bernice, Rayma, Ermalee and Maryloo.
Avy is survived by her daughter, Cathy Cox and numerous nieces and nephews.
She lived a full life and enjoyed sewing, Chiefs football, Nascar, casino trips, reading, listening to music and being as ornery as possible in the most loving way. Visitation will be Monday, October 23, 2017 from 6-8:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in U.S. National Cemetery -1702 E. Seminole, Springfield, MO. Memorial donations may be made to: Humane Society, Hospice Compassus, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Avy will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
