Obituary for Freda Alline Robertson (Pickering)
Freda Robertson, age 85, of Springfield, MO. Departed this place to be with the Lord on, October 2, 2017 at Mercy Hospital. Freda was born November 27, 1931 to Paul D and Opal (Lee) Pickering.
Freda graduated from Central High School. She was united in marriage to Leonard Robertson on July 27, 1949, and to this union was born one daughter, Janice Lowry and two sons: Terry and Chris Robertson.
Freda accepted the Lord as her savior at the age of 13. She loved the Lord and lived by faith and prayer. She was a member of Hamlin Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. Her greatest blessing and joy in life was sharing and giving to others. Freda loved working on crafts, genealogy and listening to gospel music.
She was a loving wife, and homemaker, that loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with deep affection. She will always be in the hearts of those who hold sweet memories of her.
Freda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard in February 2017, and a brother Harold Pickering. She is survived by her daughter Janice Lowry, sons: Terry Robertson and his wife Peggy and Chris Robertson, six grandchildren: Jeffery Lowry and wife Jessica, Richard Lowry and wife Beth, Jeanna Wigley and husband Robert, Kiley Page and husband Ben, Cory Taylor and husband Nathen, Kristen Robertson, eleven great grandchildren: Amilia Alliene Page, Avery Robertson, Emily Robertson, Ben Lowry, Peyton Lowry, Ailina Lowry, Kaileigh Lowry, Drew Lowry, Nicholas Lowry, Aiden Wigley and Aiddison Wigley.
Graveside service will be Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
