Obituary for Marilyn Sue Frost (White)

Marilyn “Suzie” Frost passed away in the comfort of her home and surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, September 17, 2017 after a 21-year battle with cancer. Marilyn was born in Springfield, Missouri on July 3, 1948. After graduating from Nixa high school, Marilyn attended college at Southwest Missouri State University (now MSU). She was united in marriage to Basil Frost on December 27, 1969. Marilyn centered herself on giving to others, and had a passion for charitable causes.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Basil Frost, parents Frank & Effie White, and brother Randy Bill White.

She is survived by her children; Mark January and wife Jenny, Christa Frost Williams and husband Kent, Kent Frost and fiancé Carolyn, her 5 grandchildren; Ayden, Avery, Marabelle, Maya, and Cameron, and 2 step-grandchildren; Chandler and Spencer. She is also survived by her sister Sheila Sperry and family of Nixa, life-long friend Suzanne Lloyd, as well as aunt, cousins, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 10:30AM at Hazelwood Cemetery. Immediately following the service, family & friends are invited to a “Celebration of Life” lunch for Marilyn, hosted by her family at the gymnasium of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church located at 2200 W. Republic Road, Springfield, MO 65807.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the charity of your choice in Marilyn’s name.
