Obituary for Marian A Curl
Marian Curl, age 89 of Sleeper, Missouri left this world on September 7, 2017 to be with her one true love, her beloved husband of 51 years N.E. “Pete” Curl and also a son Kent Eugene Curl. She felt she had already seen a glimpse of heaven by being able to be near her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren most of her life. Marian took great pleasure in her family and was affectionately “Granny” to all. She loved the outdoors and in particular caring for her yard, flowers and various animals.
Marian was a life-long Methodist and took great pride in being a charter member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Springfield, MO.
Marian is survived by two sons: Greg Curl and Bob Curl & wife Patsy, four special grandchildren: Brad Curl & wife Dawn, Tim Curl & wife Lauryna, Sarah Rainwater & husband Mark, and Jeff Curl & wife Sarah, five precious great-grandchildren: Lexi, Jonathan, Emily, Callen and Lukas. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews and a great collection of close friends who were valuable kindred spirits.
In addition to Pete and Kent she was preceded in death by her parents: Logan & Helen Palmer and two sisters: Barbara Jordan and Wilma Woolery. Marian requested a private service with her family. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery with arrangements under the care of Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Memorial donations may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
