Condolence From: Rufus Bowers
Condolence: Jesus Christ was the perfect man who walked among the human race over two thousand years ago. Jack Golie was the perfect chaplain who served with the United States Marine Corps walking and talking to them all the time. He was humble, God fearing, and God loving which he demonstrated daily to all Marines and civilians alike. Physically, Jack could hold his own in any contact or non-contact sport and was always at the top of the hill ahead of the pack with a canteen of water offering to anyone in need of a drink. His first word was always "Howdy." His next words were "How may I help you?" His last word was "Shalom." He was a "Navy Man", but he was a "Marine's Marine." Physically and spiritually, he was always at the right place at the right time. Other than Jesus, no better friend. Col. Rufus Bowers. USMC,(ret.)
