Jack K.  Golie
Chaplain Jack K. Golie, age 80 , of Decatur, AL passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN.

He was born December 7, 1936, Havre, MT, to William Arthur and Martha Marie Golie. He was united in marriage to Barbara McDonald on August 7, 1959, Springfield, MO. Jack retired from the United States Navy after 23 years of service. After retirement, Chaplain Golie pastored in California, Montana and Alaska.

Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Golie, whom he nicknamed, "Angel", one daughter, Jana Golie, one son, Gregory Golie and wife, Shellie, one granddaughter, Alexandra Golie, and a host of church family and friends.
He was preceded in death by six children; his parents, William and Martha Golie, one brother, Sid Golie and one sister Betty Leonard.

A celebration of Jack's life will be held Saturday, September 9th, 2017, at 10:00 am, Maranatha Chapel, with burial at 2:00 pm at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Springfield Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Alabama Teen Challenge, in care of the funeral home. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
