Obituary for Opal Mae Hunt (Moore)

Opal Mae (Moore) Hunt passed away at Glendale Gardens on September 1, 2017 at the age of 95. Opal is survived by her husband of 47 years Dean, a sister Mary Schmidt, sister-in-law Betty Moore and several nieces and nephews that loved her dearly, She was also survived by Dean's son Michael Hunt and family and Dean's daughter Dana Bezdek and family. A special thank you to their neighbor, Wayne Royalty. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elba and Stella Moore, a sister Mildred Gibson, brothers Jack, Guy, Robert and Ernest, Also, her first husband Dale Chilcutt. Opal was born May 5, 1922 in Walnut Hill, MO. Her profession was a bookkeeper for Russell General Tire for most of her working career. Opal and Dean were members of the East Grand Church of Christ.
Services will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home South on Thursday September 7, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service time at 10:30 a.m. Internment to follow at 1:00 p.m. in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Fair Haven Children’s Home or Integrity Hospice.
