Obituary for William Gilbert Cooper

William Gilbert Cooper served with honor in the U.S. Air Force and Viet Nam, and is now in the service of The Supreme Commander. He was born April 6, 1943 in Clinton, Missouri, and spent most of his life in Springfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Oliver (Bill) Cooper. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Mary, 3 sons; Andy, Grady, and Danny, stepson; Chris, stepdaughter; Michele, 3 brothers; Gary, Rusty, and Charlie, 6 grandchildren, 2 step granddaughters, a great-granddaughter, family friend, Ken Cota, and many family and friends.

Services will be Friday, September 8, 2017, 10:00am, at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Missouri Veterans Home, where the price of freedom is visible everyday, or to Three Rivers Hospice, whose compassion and love is unsurpassed. God bless all of you who served with honor, dignity, love, and laughter, too.
