Pearlie Mae  Finley
Pearlie Mae Finley, 85, Springfield, Missouri went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 27, 2017.
She was born January 14, 1932 at Siden, Mississippi to Joe Henry and Lillian Mae Askew.
Pearlie attended Wheatley High School in Poplar Bluff, Missouri before graduating from Vo-Tech (OTC) in 1970.
She worked for SMSU and RT French’s for several years before retiring in 1984.
Pearlie loved the Lord and was a member of Freedom Southern Baptist Church for over 40 years.
Pearlie was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Barbara Ann Askew, her sons, Ronald Eugene Finley and Charles Earl Askew, a granddaughter Lakeisha Thompson, her grandsons Terron Finley, Ke’Shawn Cook, Derek Tsotigh Jr. and Laronta Brown, her sisters; Josie McGee, Margaret Gordon and Almay Mayweather, and Lenora Askew-Taylor and one brother; J.B. Askew.
She is survived by her children, Dorothea Cecil and husband David of Clinton, Maryland, George Finley and wife Tammy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Manuel Jarrett and wife Janet, Betty, Larry and Marie Finley, all of Springfield, Missouri, a special grandson Timmy Wells Jr. of Springfield, Missouri, 29 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, September 1, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole, Springfield, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East with Reverend Michael Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Cemetery.
