Condolences

Condolence From: David Clark
Condolence: My family moved next to the Hunt's in 1974 when they lived on Cherry St. Ct. in Springfield. I was in 3rd grade attending Bingham Elementary a few blocks down on Cherry St. Mrs. Hunt was always so kind to our family and arranged for me and my sister to attend Vacation Bible School at Glenstone Baptist Church. I went there every summer for many years. When I was still little during those first few years, I was always over at the Hunt's house. I would help with yardwork, clean the attic, 'help' her cook, and even go with her to help out at church. As a teenager, I would mow the yard for a property they bought on the corner of our street. Later, they moved to another house in Springfield and I lost touch with them after highschool and my pursuit of life. Six or seven years ago I contacted Glenstone Baptist and learned Lura Lee was still alive and living with her son, Mark. We exchanged some letters and Christmas cards since then but no card came last year (2017). Just now I searched up her name fearing what I would find only to learn she sleeps until the return of our Lord Jesus. I am 52 years old and am so thankful that I knew Lura Lee Hunt. I look forward to seeing her again in the regeneration. David Clark, Keller TX, Oct2018.

Condolence: So many great memories of both your mom and dad at Glenstone. She always had a smile on her face and was always "dressed up"!! Such a faithful and Godly woman. She will be missed by so many.

Condolence: Mark, I'm sorry to hear about the passing of that special lady you called MOM. What a delight she was to all of us who grew up knowing her at Glenstone Baptist Church. Some of the best years that so many of us still remember.

Scott and I want you to know that are prayers and thoughts are with you tomorrow.

That pew at church will never be the same, but Gene and Tyrone are glad to have her home!

God BLess.

Condolence: Lura Lee was such a job. She never lost her bling and she always had a smile even during the past year as her health was failing. I will miss her enormously and can't wait to be reunited with her on the other side.

Condolence: There is definitely an empty spot in the front south area of our church. Her instant contagious smile greeted everyone. She was my daughter's favorite Sunday School teacher and later was the loved teacher of my grandson, Kyle. After he moved, she always asked about him. What a light she was. May you find comfort in knowing that she is celebrating in heaven.

Condolence: So many wonderful memories of Lura Lee as a neighbor (lived one block away), from both our husbands working at Lily/Sweetheart, but especially as part of the same church family for most of my life. Lura Lee was my teacher at VBS when I was a child & still have some of the crafts we made...then as an adult worked with her many years when we taught "Children's Church" together at GBC...the hours of work she put in was one of the reasons kids loved to attend, so my children got to have her as a teacher also. She & Gene were Christian witnesses everywhere they went...and will always remember some of their vacation stories. Mark & family--we are so sorry for your loss, but thankful for her long life & the many wonderful memories we have of our time with her.

Condolence: My dearest and best friend for nearly 25 years. God crossed our paths and let us work in church ministry together for over 10 years and that friendship continued until her move to Heaven. A true lady of grace, love and compassion and a constant servant of people around her. She will be missed by many people whose lives she impacted over the years. Prayers for Peace, Comfort, and Strength for her family during this difficult time.
