Gary Wayne  Perkins
Gary Wayne Perkins, 66, Pleasant Hope, MO. passed away Monday, August 14, 2017. Born on June 10, 1951 in Springfield, MO. to Meredith and Wilma (Broyles) Perkins. He was a member of the Sonrise Community Church, near Pleasant Hope, MO. Gary was a graduate of Lockwood, MO. High School, in 1969, he then went on to the University of Northeast Oklahoma, in Miami, OK. and then to the University of Missouri in Columbia, for his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture, graduating in 1973. He then spent the next 44 years in the Agriculture business. He retired after 27 enjoyable years, as a sales representative with Green Seed Company.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Mark. Survivors include his wife, Joyce (Daniel) Perkins, two sons: Jeremy Wayne Perkins and his wife Alisa, and Jason Daniel Perkins, and his wife Antonia, five grandchildren; Taylor, Emmett, Luke, Ethan, and Zachary, and one brother, Hal Perkins.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. in Brasher Cemetery, near Jerico Springs, MO. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sonrise Community Church, in memory of Gary, a founding member, or to the American Heart Association.
