Obituary for Richard Henry Oatman
Richard Henry Oatman 85, Pleasant Hope, Mo. passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 in Citizens Memorial Hospital, Bolivar, Mo. after a long illness. He was born On August 27, 1931, in Coldwater, Kansas, to Clarence and Audrey (Bruton) Oatman.
Richard was retired from the Zenith Corporation, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran and loved wood working and crafts.He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his late wife Juanita Mae (Stewart) Oatman Survivors include his wife, Dovie Oatman, six step-children: Mary Jane Copely, Ron Lee Wyatt, Randy G. Wyatt, Jeffery Wayne Goolsby, Jennifer Louise Pilkinton, and Joe Randle Goolsby. He is also survived by a sister: Wilma Jean Butler, and a brother, Ronald David Oatman, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Burial with military rites will follow, in White Oak cemetery, near Rogersville, Mo. Visitation will, be Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
