Gloria Adell Doty, age 83 of Flemington, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017, in her home. She was born August 11, 1933, in Dalhart, TX, to William Franklin and Lucille Adell (Harris) Fancler. She was united in marriage to James Eugene “Gene” Doty August 10, 1952, and to this union five children were born.
She is a member of: the Bunceton Baptist Church, UDC United Daughters of the Confederacy, DAR Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the American Colonist, Cooper County Historical Society, and Polk County Historical Society. She is a past president of the Bunceton Homemakers Extension Club.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son Robert Doty; and two brothers: Joseph Fancler, and Jan Fancler.
She is survived by her husband Gene of Plattsburg, MO; four children: Jerel Doty and his wife Barbara of Parkville, MO, Cheryl Doty of Bolivar, MO, Debra Bastarache and husband Brian of Paola, KS, and Michael Doty and his wife Lisa of Plattsburg, MO; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two great great granddaughters; one sister Deloris Lenz of Sedalia, MO; as well as many other relatives and friends.
According to Gloria’s wishes her body will be cremated. A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date for family and friends.
