Obituary for Leota Beatrice Palenik
Leota Beatrice Palenik, 95, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017. She was born in Linn, Missouri on October 19, 1921 to Elsie and Rev. Clarence Walker.
Leota devoted her life to Nursing. Graduating from Burge School of Nursing. She continued at Burge (Cox Medical Center North) until she retired in 1986 as night supervisor of Nursing.
She was preced3ed in death by her husband, Stephen Palenik, and her son Stephen Palenik Jr. She is survived by two daughters: Linda Horton of Springfield, MO and Carolyn Gilliam of Fair Grove, MO, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and 3 sisters.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Graveside services will be Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens at 10:00 AM.
