Obituary for Fonda Mae Montgomery

Fonda Mae Montgomery, 82, of Willard, Missouri was called home by our Lord on August 3, 2017 after battling several years of illness. She was born July 1, 1935 in Bakersfield, Missouri to the late Cecil and Velda James. She is survived by her devoted husband Carl, her children Layne Montgomery (Karen) and Tracy Wardell (Earl), sister Wanda Bolerjack (Don), grandchildren, Hannah and Peter Wardell and nephews, Steve and Craig Bolerjack (Sharon).
Fonda graduated from Willow Springs High School and attended Missouri State University. Fonda Mae was an avid quilter, renowned salsa maker and faithful attendee of First Baptist Church of Springfield. Fonda was known for her service and generosity. She loved with her whole heart and will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 7, 2017 in First Baptist Church in Springfield from 10:00 to 11:00 am, with services following at 11:00 am in the church. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to donor’s choice. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
