Thelma Marie  Millsap (Gross)
Thelma Marie (Gross ) Millsap age 88, of Springfield passed away Thursday, August 3rd, 2017 after a courageous fight against cancer. .
Thelma was born February 22, 1929 in Brush Hill, OK to William Bryan and Sarah Edith (Adams) Gross. On November 29, 1946 she was united in marriage to James Harold Millsap who preceded her in death in 1974.

She was a homemaker and worked for the Springfield Public Schools as a cook from 1975-1991. She accepted Jesus as her savior and was baptized while attending Pythian Avenue Baptist Church. She recently had been attending Wesley United Methodist Church with her son and daughter-in-law.

Survivors include her children, Gary Millsap and wife Gail, Louisville, KY, Linda Kilburn and husband Bill Archambo, James Millsap and wife Caralyn, and Mark Millsap and wife Wendy; four grandchildren, Abigail Guirguis, Allison Dawson, Brian Kilburn, and Rachel Millsap; three step-grandchildren, Kimberly Tucker, Jay Elton, and Sara Haywood; ten great-grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Harold Millsap, her parents William Bryan and Sarah Edith Gross; three sisters, Dorothy Ray, Betty Reaves, and Shirley Reaves; and one brother, Charlie Gross

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 at 10:00 am in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus.
