Obituary for Jimmy Dale Miller

Jimmy Dale Miller, 77, entered into rest on July 27th, 2017. His devotion and faith led him in his short battle with cancer.
Jim was born to Opal and Loren Miller, in Exeter, California on September 6th,1939. He spent his childhood in the fields helping his dad with the crops. He married the love of his life March 23,1959. They then welcomed a baby girl, Kimberly Ann, on February 16th,1963.
Papa spent 30+ years working with PG Walkers and in the air products industry.
Papa was a devoted Christian and was an active member of Golden Avenue Baptist Church. He was ordained as a deacon in July 2001 and took his calling very seriously. He never hesitated to be the body of Christ.
Papa is survived by his wife of 58 years, Arla. His Son in Law, Paul Bolin and wife Terri. His grandson, Kevin “The Colonel” Blankenship and fiancée, Denise Yates. His Granddaughter, Tashua “Sis” Jeffries and husband Duell. Great Grandchildren: Logan Bolin, Kailyn Glor, Andrew-James Harley, Gabriel Strebe, Jacob Strebe, Zayden Kendrick, Alinea Blankenship and Parker McNeal.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother and his Daughter.
Jimmy will be celebrated at funeral services at Greenlawn North at 3pm on July 31st. He will be laid to rest at Greene Lawn Cemetery in Walnut Grove, MO immediately following the funeral.
At request of the family, in lieu of flowers, please donate in Papa’s memory to Golden Avenue Baptist Church building fund - as this was his passion.
