Obituary for Ida Lorine Jackson (Guiltner)

Ida Lorine  Jackson (Guiltner)
Ida Lorine Jackson was born on May 17, 1927 in LaCrosse, AR to Eliga Smith Guiltner and Ethel Hanley Guiltner. On June 7, 1952 she married Herbert Lee Jackson who preceded her in death in 2006. Lorine was blessed with a long life before passing away on July 27, 2017. Services for Ida Lorine Jackson will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2017 at Greenlawn North Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Lorine worked from home as a seamstress for many years and worked for and directed Glad Tidings Daycare for a few years. Most importantly, though, Lorine can be described as a woman of prayer who loved to read her Bible and mirrored the traits of Proverbs 31.

Survivors include a son, Phil Jackson and wife, Rita, daughter, Marsha Hoskins and husband, John, and son, Dennis Jackson and wife, Shirley, all of Springfield. She is also survived by sisters Rachel Arthur of Murrieta, CA, and Nellie Wiles and husband, J.R. of Thayer, MO; brothers Franklin Guiltner and wife, Carolyn, Battlefield, MO and Joseph Guiltner and wife, Shirley, LaCrosse, AR.

In addition to her husband, Lorine is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lucille Deal and Johnnie Ruth Stone; brothers Troy Buren Guiltner, Charles Hanley Guiltner, Leonard Guiltner, and David Glendon Guiltner.

The family would like to thank MICU and fifth floor nursing staff of Cox South, Preferred Hospice, and Jordan Creek nursing home staff for their care.
