Obituary for Richard Allen Kesler

Richard Kesler passed away on July 14th, 2017, in Cox Medical Center South. He died from complications of heart surgery. Richard was born in North Dakota May 31, 1950, to Emil Adam and Marion Eve (Hager) Kesler, who precede him in death. He spent the last 30 years living around the Bolivar area.

He had many friends that he loved to hunt and fish with when his health allowed. He was a wonderful friend always willing to help everyone; he had a natural talent for repairing things and used it often. He loved to sit with his friends and argue about politics over a beer. He had strong convictions and cared deeply about our country.
Richard is survived by two sisters and one brother; Judy and her husband Austin Underdal of Bolivar, MO, Sandy and her husband Robert Patton of Redding, CA, and Scott Kesler and his wife Cindy of Sullivan, MO; also a niece Amanda Ranney of Redding, CA; and one nephew Kurt Kesler of Sullivan, MO; as well as many friends.
He will be missed by all, especially his best friend “Buddy”.
Per his wishes, there will be no formal services, and his body will be cremated. Private family services will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made at: www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to the Polk County Humane Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO.
