E. Lucile Barnts Winter Wilcox, 92 of Springfield, MO passed away on July 1, 2017.
Lucile was born January 15, 1925 in Stoneham, Colorado the 6th of 8 children to George Irvin Barnts and Lillian W. (Richardson) Barnts. She attended Springfield, Oregon High School and SMS. Lucile retired from S.W. Bell Telephone after 40 years of service. She was a member of University Heights Baptist Church and a volunteer for the Pioneers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her first husband LeRoy H. Winter and husband A.W. “Bill” Wilcox. Lucile is survived by her children: Vickie Winter Dent, Kirk Winter and Cachal Teagues and her grandchildren: Todd A. Dent (Kristi) and Ashlin Winter Niemczyk (Chris). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Jack, Davis, and Carter Dent, and Sloane Lucile Niemczyk and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at the Manor at Elfindale. Lucile loved to dance, play cards and travel. She loved her family and will be deeply missed. Services will be Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
