Obituary for Joyce L. Parker (Scaggs)

Joyce L. Parker, age 82, passed away on June 20, 2017, where she resided in The Baptist Home in Ozark, MO. After graduating high school, she was a Hair Stylist prior to becoming a Real Estate Agent with Gundaker Realtor and Coldwell Banker, she actually won a Cadillac one year for being the number one Realtor in her company. She retired in 1998 after 23 years. Joyce married Zan Parker on May 26, 1955 in Des Arc, MO. She was a member of Southgate Baptist Church and her hobbies were reading, sewing and cooking.
First and foremost, Joyce loved God and her family. Her faith was unwavering in the saving power of Jesus Christ. She faithfully attended Southgate Baptist Church and adored her church home. A consummate mother and homemaker, Joyce was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. One of her huge passions was being an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She watched her last game the day before her passing.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ola Scaggs, her husband, Zan Parker and brother, Guthrie Scaggs. She is survived by her children; Diane Parker and her husband Larry Baumgardner and Darrell Parker and his wife Sheila Parker, 3 grandchildren; Nathan Meyer, Corey Parker and Brock Parker and 1 great-grandchild; Jocelyn Meyer.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 11:30 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Missouri Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
