Elizabeth "Beth" Kaye Gomes age 65, of Springfield passed away Wednesday, June 7th, 2017 in her home.

Beth was born October 5, 1951 in Springfield, Missouri to Cecil Paul and Wanda Bennett. Beth Graduated from Cabool High School, where she was Cheer-leading Captain and Homecoming Queen. She was united in marriage to Paul Gomes on December 19, 1986, in Springfield. Beth worked for Loren Cook Company for 35 years. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, animals, and her trips to Las Vegas and her birthday trip to Paris. The greatest love of her life was spending time with her family, especially her baby boy Andy and her granddaughter, Addyson.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Gomes, Springfield; five children, Jennifer Grooms and husband Stacey, Republic, Tammy Gomes, Republic, Paul Gomes II and wife Jessica, Willard, Kimberly Gomes, Republic, and Andrew Gomes and wife Arika, Springfield; six grandchildren, Cheyenne, Emma, Hadie, Deysonn, Braelyn, and Addyson; Four brothers, Bill Bennett, Jeff Bennett, Jason, Bennett, and James Bennett, one sister, Kim Tyler; father, Paul Bennett and wife Bonnie; mother Wanda Bennett; and a host of family and friends..

A celebration of Beth's life will be held, at 1:30 pm, Friday, June 16, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial to follow in Missouri Veteran's Cemetery.. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite animal rescue organization. Funeral services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
