Gregory “Joe” Attaway, 51, of Strafford MO., passed away Monday afternoon, May 8th, 2017, at Mercy Health Center surrounded by family and friends. Joe was an Army Veteran who served his country for 13 years. Joe was full of life and filled up the room when he walked in. He was a friend to many and always found a way to put a smile on people’s faces. Joe was a loving, joyful and protecting husband, father, grandfather, son and friend to many. Joe is survived by his wife, Tammy Attaway, his two sons, Landon Attaway and wife Shelby Attaway and Andrew F Bishop, his daughter Brandy Downs and his two granddaughters Hailey and Kylee, his mother Lillie Attaway, Brother Jeff Attaway, Sister Krista Beel, longtime friend James Chastain, and his nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 13th, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm followed by funeral services at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole St. Springfield MO.
