Obituary for Hobert Ince

Hobert Ince, age 91, of Springfield, MO passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Manor Care Nursing in Springfield, MO. He was born January 6, 1926 in Fordland, MO., the son of Lester Franklin Ince and Isbelle Pearl (Stone) Ince.

Hobert attended Fordland High School before being drafted by the army for World War II in 1944. He served as a Tec 4 Sergeant Surgical Tech from April 29, 1944 to November 23, 1945 before reenlisting on November 24, 1945. He was honorably discharged on April 20, 1947. During his tours of duty, Hobert earned the Bronze Service Star – Central European Campaign, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, No Days Lost Lapel Button, and two World War II Victory Medals.

Following his military duties, he worked at Boeing (Wichita, KS), Berge Hospital (Springfield, MO), Research Hospital (Kansas City, MO), and as an automotive mechanic (Springfield, MO).

Hobert was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Albert Ince and James Ince; an infant son; and grandson, Anthony Ince, son of Randall and Heather Ince.

Survivors include his sons, Jamie Ince (Fordland, MO) and Randall Ince and wife, Heather Ince (Fair Grove, MO); daughters, Judy (Ince) Bench and husband, William Bench (Rogersville, MO), Lisa (Ince) Larimore (Springfield MO), and Sherry Ince (Pleasant Hope, MO); grandsons, Shane Bench and his wife, Andrea Bench (Springfield, MO), Alex Bench (Springfield, MO), and Alex Ince (Fair Grove, MO); granddaughter, Jessica (Ince) Miller and husband, Nathan Miller (Illinois); great-grandsons, Austin Bench (Springfield, MO) and Ben Bench (Springfield, MO); and great-granddaughter, Mikaela Miller (Illinois).
Graveside service with full Military Honors will be Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Springfield National Cemetery.
